Description

This item is a vintage handmade gown that I bought in France several years ago.
I do not know the age of this piece,  but it is definitely not new.
It is simple and beautiful.
It is a handmade chemise  style gown with thin straps and cotton lace across the bodice.
The front and back look essentially the same.
The fabric is medium weight cotton.
This piece was made by a talented seamstress who added seams at the bust and waist to give a more shaped and feminine fit.
It has no buttons and no elastic, so it must be pulled over the head.
For this reason, it will best fit a size small.
It measures as follows:
bust: 33"
waist: 35"
hips: 40"
length: 38"
It is clean and has no stains. It does have several small flaws to be expected with age.
It has 2 picks and a tiny hole in the front, and one well mended rip in the back.
I have tried to show these in the photos, but they truly are not obvious.
This is a pretty period piece of lingerie to wear or display.
